The stunning Cliffs of Moher on the West Coast of Ireland in County Clare draw hundreds of thousands of sightseers each year. It’s one of those places that you can visit over and over and it never gets old.
And every time, because I can’t resist, I look down…
It actually happens several times a year, not to mention the suicides. It’s a magnet for jumpers. They minimize reporting it so as not to romanticize it.
Yeah I should show you the result of my risk taking. I’ll use it for my Wordless Wednesday post this week. I can’t help it. I actually love heights. π
Oh good! I’d love to see. I freak out looking back over pictures that I’ve taken on mountain hikes. Like, obviously I was there and not scared but the photos make me sweat. Lol.
Ha! You are right. I think we probably are close in age. 29, right? (at least in our heads!) I don’t have kids, but a lot of my friends’ kids call me Aunt Meg, and it was just one step from that to “crazy” π
Lol! I’ll be 45 in a few weeks, but I feel younger (in my head, at least, like you said). No doubt you are an amazing (crazy) Aunt Meg! I hope your week is wonderful.π
I think I may be having a stroke. Holy crap. I have no idea how you can do that. Seriously, I think I’m breaking a sweat just looking at that! I was out with my daughter running around the local football field recently… and I can only go up about 3 rows on the bleachers before I start shaking like a leaf, convinced I am going to die.
Haha! You know I think the photo makes it look riskier than it was, you know, unless someone pushed me or something! :0 But I am actually pretty cautious, even though I have to look!
What a great view! I love hicking! I recently did one in Quebec, Canada. They said it’s wolf and bear country. Did not see any; I guess that’s a good thing?!
In my younger days I spent a lot of time on Hirta (St Kilda) and would quite happily lean into the wind on the edge of the very high cliffs. Nowadays, I would have to approach that edge on hands and knees! Wow!
Simply WOW!
