My name is Meg and I am an author and an artist. Even that doesn’t give you the whole story. In fact, I might have titled this website: Meg Sorick, Renaissance Woman. Why? Because besides writing fiction, I compose poetry, draw, paint and take photos. I also regularly write nonfiction articles based on my research into the history of World War One. I can’t help myself; I’m interested in everything! (Which is not to say you’ll find all of that interesting…)
I have written and self published five books in a series on Amazon and have multiple independent projects in the works. My debut novel: Three Empty Frames won first prize in the Writer’s Digest E-book awards for mainstream fiction in 2017. On my blog, I share my short stories, research and some of the lessons I’ve learned on writing and editing —including my blunders— and the things that move and inspire me. You’ll also get to see some of my photography and artwork, which I consider a wonderful way to stay creative when I need a break from writing. I love the idea of connecting with other creative people who are trying to live their dreams, as well. Honest feedback is always welcome, just promise to be respectful and courteous. And above all else, know that I am very happy to meet you!
