Hello and welcome. My name is Meg Sorick, author, artist and a whole bunch of other stuff too. I have written and published five books in a series on Amazon and have multiple independent projects in the works. My debut novel: Three Empty Frames won first prize in the Writer’s Digest E-book awards for mainstream fiction in 2017
I’ve tried really hard over the years to keep this blog focused on writing but I just can’t seem to do it. I’m just interested in too many things. So what might you expect to find here? Besides writing fiction, I compose poetry, draw, paint and take photos. I also regularly write nonfiction articles based on my research into the history of World War One. I keep calling it research for my work in progress, but it’s taken on a life of its own.
I share my short stories, and some of the lessons I’ve learned on writing and editing —including my blunders— and the things that move and inspire me. You’ll also get to see some of my photography and artwork, which I consider a wonderful way to stay creative when I need a break from writing. I love the idea of connecting with other creative people who are trying to live their dreams, as well. Honest feedback is always welcome, just promise to be respectful and courteous. And above all else, know that I am very happy to meet you!
