Drawing Adventurously (13)

One of the very first subjects I tried drawing was a pixie-like alien for a children’s story I was writing. This one is a lot better than that rather embarrassing first try, but it is still one of my earliest attempts. Unfortunately for me, this challenge fell at a very inopportune time. My time and my mind have been thoroughly occupied with the stress of the international move. So I am sharing this older drawing instead of something new. Hopefully things will have settled down in time for the next challenge!

Monochrome Monday – Black and White Photography 2019 – (21)

Going off the path with my photography this week. Landed safely in Ireland on Wednesday morning but we’re dealing with some complications at the moment. Imagine our delight when we paused to look out over the lake and realized there were no man made sounds around us, only the wind and the birds. Here are some views from my walk:

A Year Of Drawing Adventurously (13) Theme

A biweekly challenge for a total of 26 drawings this year.

With drawing number 13, we reach the halfway point of the year. Can you believe it? The summer solstice, the longest day, warm weather and hopefully lots of sunshine lifts the spirits and reenergizes the mind and body. So for this biweekly challenge, the theme reflects the whimsical feeling of summer. Let’s draw:
