I certainly enjoy the way your blog is laid out, mine is due for an overhaul.
Lots of ideas here I want to use. Thank-you.

Looks so good! As I’ve mentioned… I do not generally enjoy drawing people. I’m always disappointed with my work! And drawing myself? I always wonder who the hell it is by the time I’m done! But yours looks like you… really great job.

Thanks so much! My first attempts at people were horrible. I had a little guidance from another artist and I’ve watched some tutorials on YouTube for help. It’s made a big difference!

That’s great! I’ve lost my inspiration for pretty much all forms of art lately. It’s very frustrating…

I know …. the writing isn’t going so well for me at the moment. I can’t think of anything new to write. It is frustrating!

I’ve been useless for months now… it sucks!

No way! You’re back to writing poetry! That doesn’t suck!

I guess it’s because I feel like I’m forcing myself. Well, once or twice, maybe not. I don’t know… I just don’t feel ‘back’!

Even so, your poetry has been great! And maybe that’s what we have to do sometimes to get over the hump. 🙂

It’s a good portrait, and basing it on a photo rather than looking in a mirror is better for avoiding “The Stare”.
Would like to make a book recommendation seeing some of the comments from others above, worth taking out from your local library if they’ve got a copy. “Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain” by Betty Edwards. It’s well worth a look, even if you’re a beginner.

Meg could you look up my self drawing and give me some honest feedback and tips for improvement?

Sure… I did try to comment on both of your drawings, but I see that they disappeared. Check to see if they are waiting in moderation or if they went into your spam folder!
