    1. It was good! ๐Ÿ˜œ We ended up packing up on Friday evening, going to Awful Arthur’s oyster bar for dinner and getting on the road around 7:30. It was perfect, no traffic and no delays. Got home around 1 am safe and sound. Never made it to ocracoke unfortunately… ๐Ÿ˜ž

      1. Glad y’all made it home safely. I was talking to some friends on Ocracoke earlier today. They stayed and said the Sound is way up. 4-6ft above normal. Not much in the way of wind damage other than some trees down, but they’re without power, of course. Hasn’t driven up 12 towards the northern ferry site on the island because the road is under water. Hoping the road didn’t wash out. I’d imagine the dunes took a beating. ๐Ÿ˜•

      2. Yes, I’m sure they did. Hope your friends ride it out safely. They’d already canceled ferry service because of that front that sat off shore midweek. Surf was really rough even then, can only imagine how much worse it would be in a hurricane ๐Ÿ˜ฌ On a lighter note, I have a ton of bottle caps for you! ๐Ÿ˜œ

      1. It was good! At OBX last week on vacation. The weather was crap on Thursday (ahead of the hurricane) so we went to the beer store, bought a bunch of different bottles and had a beer tasting.

      1. Bracing myself with Beso de Vino, an Old Vines Garnacha (2011). I guess with nobody here to help and nobody here to say “enough” (except me, and I don’t count) it will be ‘eso beso / oooh that kiss’ until the debate’s over or the bottle is done.
