The winter forest is a magical place. Frost coats the stems of dead or dormant grasses. They are white wands poking through the snow. With the full moon filtering through the trees, the icy waters of an isolated stream, you hear no man made sounds, just the sigh of the wind and the water rushing over the rocks.
This week, I decided to go rogue with my black and white photography and skip the challenge. When the sun comes out after a storm, when the branches are stripped bare of their leaves and it’s so cold that nothing will melt despite the light, the snow and ice create a fairy world of white and wonder.
The theme for the second drawing of the challenge is cozy and warm. Perfect timing since we have been in the deep freeze all week. My idea of cozy and warm is to curl up in front of the fire with a cup of tea (or a bourbon) and read a good book. So with that in mind:
