Drawing Adventurously 2019 (2)

The theme for the second drawing of the challenge is cozy and warm. Perfect timing since we have been in the deep freeze all week. My idea of cozy and warm is to curl up in front of the fire with a cup of tea (or a bourbon) and read a good book. So with that in mind:

  4. This is fabulous Meg! Actually the fireplace was the first thing that crossed my mind too but i simply did not know how to recreate it in the drawing! I still have a lot to learn. Ah it must be so cozy to curl up with a book on a couch in front of the fire with a hot cup of chocolate or coffee and a nice book to read, when it is freezing outside. We have a moderate climate in India so we don’t even need a fireplace. So this is what we ususllydo in monsoon.🙂

    1. Thanks, Prema! I feel like I didn’t quite get the three dimensional aspect of the fireplace quite right but overall it’s not bad. Structure drawings are the hardest for me. I’m glad you like it. We’re having cold weather now so I need that hot cup of tea!

      1. At least, yours can be identified as a fireplace. When i tried drawing it, i thought it looked like a bunch of leaves swaying in a breeze! Enjoy your cup!
