I wonder how many did, though? There will have certainly been some protest votes in there, who never believed he would actually win.

I wonder… the political analysts seem to think it’s a reflection of how dissatisfied everyone is with the status quo. I just can’t fathom that reasoning

I think there must be a lot of that. Of course, some of it does follow the ‘hey, they’re cross about x or y, and yes, I hadn’t realised that I am, too’ sort of argument.

Yes that’s true. Trouble is you might agree about the problem and completely disagree with the solution! And that may be a rude awakening in the time to come!

Good painting, not familiar with the artists must do a bit of research. Apt that is was wordless Wednesday.

The artist apparently was fascinated by mythology and the story of the Cyclops devouring sailors in the Odyssey. In this painting he used multiple layers of paint to achieve the effect of an underwater environment. Then bright colors contrast with the menacing forms, whatever they are supposed to be….

In a way yes but I often chastise myself for my superficiality of learning.

Scraping the surface of many things instead of digging deep into just one? That’s my problem.
