Lost – A Limerick

The journey would come at great cost

Into the realm of Mordor, they crossed

From The Fellowship of the Ring

To The Return of the King

“Not all who wander are lost!”

In response to Mind and Life Matters limerick challenge.  With credit to J. R. R. Tolkien fot the last line!

    1. I have loved these books since I was about 14 years old. I re-read them once in a blue moon. In fact, I think I’m due! I have to watch the last installment of The Hobbit. After all Aidan Turner’s in it! 😀

      1. There’s a 3 hour version and something like a 7 hour version. And though it’s a little dated, it’s still really cool! Personally, I like the long version. The abridged version doesn’t tell the story as well. Dune is one of those books I’d want with me if I were marooned on a desert island. The level of world building Frank Herbert does is just off the charts. Oh I’m babbling! Can you tell how much I love it? 🙂

  1. We (hubbs & I) love LOTR, though I admit sheepishly to never having read past The Hobbit, we have a yearly movie marathon of all three. Limerick? What a fun introduction! Sounds like a nice new challenge I must try.
