Things that go bump in the night
Are certain to give you a fright
But it’s only me
Getting up to pee
In the dark, with my terrible eyesight

All my creative pursuits.
Things that go bump in the night
Are certain to give you a fright
But it’s only me
Getting up to pee
In the dark, with my terrible eyesight

Once upon a time, I turned the fairytale to horror
As your queen, I ruled through threats and terror
And isn’t it a pity
To suffer my pretties..
So… Who’s the fairest, Mirror, Mirror?
Your suffering means nothing to me
I relish the chance to inflict cruelty
Your hearts I will wrest
Pull them live from your chests
And let you feel the full force of my malignity
Don’t for a minute, think I’ve softened my stance
Oppose me, you don’t stand a chance
For vengeance I swear
Stand aside or prepare
To be party to this most wicked dance….
I got a little carried away with this one…
In response to Mind and Life Matters’ limerick poetry challenge.
The dull thudding rain falls softly
As another grey day goes by
I am drowning in misery
And wondering once again, why?
Umbrellas shelter the walkers
As they trudge along the street
And I stare out my window, alone and desperate
The kettle whistles on the stove
But I just let it shriek
I’m too far gone, I can’t move
My limbs are growing weak
The empty bottle hits the floor
As I open my slackened hand
And I wonder once again
Why I loved that man
