Three Days, Three Quotes (Day One)

Challenge accepted my friend, Anand!  The idea is to post 1-3 quotes per day on 3 consecutive days and challenge someone else to do the same.  Anand, one of my favorite people in all of Bloggerdom, hosts blabberwockying, a wonderful blog loaded with pearls of wisdom, philosophical musings and stories of his own personal journey to peace.  Please go visit him!

Here is my first quote:

“Everybody is a genius, but if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”  – Albert Einstein

Today, I’d like to challenge Alex at A Wandering Woman’s Travels.

Back to work

So I told you I went to Ireland for a week, right?  You would think that the misty isle of Erin, steeped in folklore and fairy tale would be the ultimate place to visit for inspiration, yes?  Not so!  Aside from the post I wrote about the fairy tree last week, I couldn’t write another word.  Mind you, I came away with a couple great ideas for another story, but my current project came to a complete stop last week.  Sunday was recuperation day.  Monday still jet lagged, I stared at my notebook and went blank.  But Tuesday, yes Tuesday I got going again.  I solved a problem with my characters’ conversation and rewrote a whole new scene.  Up early this morning, I have several hours to write before I start my “real job”.  I’m back on track now that I’ve cleared the Irish mist from my head.
