After taking a week off, Cee is back this week with a great new theme for black and white photography. Welcome back Cee, glad you’re feeling better!
The theme for Cee’s Black and White Challenge this week is: chutes and ladders.
A tunnel chute for The Roman Baths:
A ladder for the indoor pool at Biltmore Estate:
A chute of water from a Roman fountain:
Love that Roman fountain!

Such an interesting place to visit. All that opulence. 😳

Crazy to think that was a family home, and just one of many. Unreal. 😃

I know! How in the world do you use all those rooms?!?

Who knows? Even if I could afford such a thing, I wouldn’t even care to be that ostentatious. Different era, I suppose. What else is crazy is that all the land that comprises DuPont forest and large chunks of Pisgah was theirs as well. Just hard to imagine that kind of wealth. 😳

I know! The age of the tycoon. It feels like history is repeating itself with the 1% getting wealthier and wages for the rest of us stagnating!

Yep. Funny how history keeps repeating itself. 😏
