Following the chart to 52 drawings this year.
For my drawing this week, I chose an enduring classic. My experience with children has been limited to the little time I glean with my friends’ children so I am falling back on fond childhood memories of my own (of which there are precious few) for inspiration for this week’s theme. I present Paddington Bear, who never goes out of style:
Love him!

Love him: I have a large Paddington Bear in the basement, bought for five quid, oh so many years ago. Real wellies and a proper duffle coat. It brings back so many good memories.

Thank you, Roger. Ah that’s so cool! I wish I still had my Paddington. Maybe I should get a new one!

I bought him for my daughter a long time ago. Now he just stands on guard in the basement by my desk. I think I’ll bring him back upstairs into the warm for Christmas ad the New Year.

Yes you should! At least you keep him company while you’re writing!

I put him up beside the bed last night. I won’t let him in with his wellies on.

Three cheers for Paddington. But don’t forget Winnie The Pooh and Rupert Bear too. I guess I never fully grew up. I’m still partial to Tigger at 62. Now that’s staying power.

Wow! He looks so cute Meg! We don’t have him here in India but he looks adorable. How did you manage to get the texture of his coat and the face so well? Great job! Love him.

Thank you! I just used very short and light pencil strokes for his fur and smudged them a little bit. I’m so glad you like him! He’s a cutie!
