I am a huge Godzilla fan, especially the original Japanese films with subtitles (or bad overdubbing). So much fun! I am pretty pleased with the recent film version from 2014 and am looking forward to the next installment. So in honor of the King of the Monsters, here is my Gojira/Godzilla:

  5. Aha!! Godzilla, that monster has become a bit of a nemesis to me.

    I was asked to create a painting with specific requirements a while back following the classic movie poster I painted last year.

    I’ve tried, and failed, three times now – and I’ve been using the expensive gear!! For some reason it’s just not working, however I do have an idea for another one based on one of the studies I was doing for the painting. Doesn’t fit the requirements but stands more chance of being a success at least.

    I do like the menace of yours, it needs menace!!!

    1. This was the best I could manage! Ah and he’s still very cartoonish! I threw out at least three other attempts when the erasures got too messy, ugh. I can’t even imagine how difficult painting him would be. I’d love to see yours, is it posted anywhere?

      2. I hope you do. I totally get the ‘must be conquered’ kind of challenge. I’ll probably try another Godzilla and this time, take more time with it. Hope to see your next attempt too!
