Hands are the hardest body part for me to draw. I really should practice more. I spend as much time erasing as I do drawing. Ugh. Anyway, here is my hand:

  5. Hands or for that matter any body part is very difficult to draw by itself, i agree. Especially the knuckles or nails part of it. It is easier to draw a body with hands as then, it is only one part of it and flaws can be hidden as the view is not focussed there. A very good effort i must say. And you have chosen a difficult gesturing hand!

  7. Yep, there are some things which are repeatedly difficult for most people to draw and hands are way up near the top of the list.

    It’s surprising how much importance the brain pays to observation of hands, feet and faces. That’s why if you’re not very close to accurate then the inaccuracies jump out. Challenging indeed, you did well there 👍🏻

    1. Thank you! It’s definitely the hardest body part for me to draw. And sometimes it just gets worse the longer I mess with it. So often I have to just start over!
