Waaaah! 😆 Thanks, Beach! I am glad I have photos on hand to share, so far I haven’t had time to get out with the camera!

And won’t want to get out in it to take any in the coming days either. We’re already getting sleet with snow and plunging temps throughout the day. Winter sucks. It was 60 degrees yesterday!!! 😠

It’s 60 here today with pouring rain. Your weather is headed our way! 😫

This time of year I have to distract myself with sports. Football basketball etc. But I know that’s probably not helpful for you either…. 😬

Uh, no. Though our women’s team is kicking ass! They beat Notre Dame last by 31. They’ve got a real shot at winning it all this year. Men’s team isn’t doing bad, all things considered, and got a road win at FSU Wednesday night. That kid that got us in trouble just transferred to South Carolina yesterday. All involved are now completely gone. I’m just ready to move on from it. 😔

I saw that! Well maybe a clean slate will help turn things around! Jump on the Nova bandwagon, you’re always welcome!

Well, hopefully we make the tourney this year…because the next few could be ugly. Wednesday nights win helped the mood around here tremendously, but gotta keep it up. We don’t get in, I’ll be Nova fan for a while. By the way, when people banter about who we’ll hire in the spring, Jay Wright’s name has been mentioned. I don’t think he’d leave Nova though, so I doubt y’all have to worry.

No kidding?!? 😱 I’d be devastated! He’s dreamy! 😂

Hahaha! Dreamt? Maybe, I suppose. But the dude can coach! I’d love to have him, but I think he’s a Nova lifer. I heard his wife is a big-time lawyer in Philly, and from there even, so I don’t think you’ll lose McDreamy. 😃😃

Thank you! The abbey is beautiful and nestled between the mountains and the lake? Just perfect! Glad it worked for the color, too! 😃

Flowers are Kniphofia, also called tritoma, torch lily, knofflers or poker plant, a genus of flowering plants in the family Asphodelaceae, first described as a genus in 1794. It is native to Africa.
Or just plain RED HOT POKERS.
Great photos!

Love that #7 is the BACK of the castle. I picture the inhabitants saying “let’s just go to the backyard and hang out – it’s so much more casual.” haha!

Forget the flowers, I’m more curious why that pint of Galway Hooker has that particular name? It certainly has a name that stands out in a crowd.

A hooker is a type of ship! Galway is seaport. In fact, Columbus stopped here before sailing on to the New World!

Surviving. Easing my way back into blogging, but I will have to limit my time here. Other than that I am fine.
Hope you are well.

I have similar–but not so beautiful–photos of Kylemore Abbey somewhere (from my honeymoon almost 14 years ago)! Thanks for the memories–and the beautiful images.

Isn’t that awesome? 😂 There’s an Irish whisky called Yellow Spot, so you can literally have a hooker and a yellow spot at the same time! 😜

Sadly I finished work at 10pm so I just wanted to go home. I didn’t fancy a bar and there weren’t any shops open. I’ll have to wait until tomorrow… ofc by then I’ll have lost interest 😄
