No longer an ocean between us
Only a turbulent sea
My light infiltrates your darkness
But it’s still too murky to see
No forest or mountains oppose us
Nor rivers that run to the sea
Your light penetrates my darkness
Not quite enough to see
With the water beckoning to us
Who’s the first to dip into the sea?
Your darkness my lightness coalesce
And it’s all that we need to see
Lovely.

I don’t think my mind is right today…
The only thing I noticed was darkness being penetrated.

I like this! Dark and light coming together- it’s like the warm glow of candlelight.

I really like the progression of the poem, a valued acknowledging of what each person brings to the relationship.

Great poem Doctor, romantic, pensive and sensual…plus a pun in the title!

Thank you, very glad you like it. Haven’t waxed poetic in a while. Then I saw Shelley’s handwriting and I went into a fugue state…,

Oh that is excellent, I like fugue and trance states. It is beautiful…
