I head east to Ireland on Thursday for ten days. I’m not sure how this will impact my posting. Either I will be noticeably absent or annoyingly present. Depends on what kind of trouble I find to get into. I have no idea what I’m going to do this time. The trip is completely spontaneous. But poor planning is the key to flexibility!
One nice thing about returning to a place you’ve visited before is the comfortable familiarity. “Home” base will be Galway but from there I will wander. Perhaps a couple days in Dublin. Or maybe Northern Ireland… I’ve never made it up there. We’ll see. Most of all I am looking forward to rest, to following my feet, to not having a schedule and being free to do as I please.
So maybe there will be photos, poems, fairytales and stories. Or maybe there will be nothing at all!
I am green with envy! Have a fabulous time! bring back pics.

I spent two years living in Germany, traveled all around, never when to the UK or Ireland, and me of Welsh descent, a crying shame…someday!

Ah that is a shame! I’ve some Welsh in my background… paternal grandfather was born in Wales!

Thank you! You would not believe how cheap flights are right now. I couldn’t resist!

Right on! Our next flight trip won’t be until Italy, a year from now. Hope flights are cheap then too. With five of us going, it could get righteously expensive. Safe travels, Doc! 😃

Can’t wait! Haven’t been to Europe in years and never been to Italy. I’m most excited to be taking the boys. Think they’ll be awed by it all. 😃

I’m still amazed she’s getting married! Her and one of my buddies are the consummate singles. Well, she was at least. Nearly 50 and stayed single all that time. He’s dating someone now, so maybe he’s next. I’m gonna lobby for him to get married in St. Lucia. 😃

That’s pretty cool! I guess its never too late for love! Destination weddings are a ton of fun. St. Lucia would be pretty amazing. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Ha! Me too. He always said it’d be a drive-thru chapel in Vegas if he ever does. I’m not a big Vegas fan, so my vote will be Caribbean. 😃

I know, right? I hear people rave about Vegas, but I’m just “meh” about it. To each their own. 😃

Yeah I don’t get the appeal. I do love the desert, though. Such a different kind of beauty

It is pretty, and unique. But I’m of the mindset that if I’m near sand, I want it to lead into saltwater. 😃

I hope, for the best reasons, that we hear nothing at all while you’re in Ireland, because you’re too busy having fun 🙂
One of the best nights out (certainly the “latest”) in my life was in Dublin… happy memories 🙂
