One of the prettiest places I’ve ever been! 😃

Oh I know! Breathtaking! Now that’s some serious hiking!

Yeah, that it is. Beautiful from the valley or up high. The dudes that rock climb there are crazy! I’ve done my share of climbing over the years, but that’s extreme out there.

It’s cool to just aim your binoculars to the side of El Capitan. There’s always someone working their way up the face!

I know. Crazy man! That’s a sheer face. Last time we were out there we camped in a spot where climbers congregate. Those dudes are nuts! 😃

Makes my little hike look like a stroll in the foothills. 🙂

This was one of the most strenuous hikes I’ve ever done. We did this waterfall trail that was just a little over a mile but the elevation change was ridiculous. It took like three hours and my legs muscles were quivering by the time we returned.

The uphills are a bit of a trial for the leg-muscles, I must agree. But isn’t it great to be able to rolly-polly all the way back down! 😀

I think the return trip was worse! Narrow twisty steep path! A tired body could easily lose balance and tumble!

Yeah, I was kind of hesitant on the downhills too. You hear too many stories of people snapping bones and all of that.
Glad you made it down safely, Meg. 🙂

Yeah, there is quite a bit of America I plan on seeing while I wait for Europe to clean up their terrorist issues.

I was ready to pack up and move to California after this trip. But that happens to me almost every where I visit. Nomad genes…
