I thought I’d be fashionably late

To impress my handsome date

But much to my chagrin

My pride had done me in

And he’d left with my room mate

    1. I post a regular feature on Sundays where I take a song lyric and use it as a prompt for a short story, Wednesdays I write Diary of a New Writer and once a month I post an installment of a fictional series called Here Lies a Soldier (it’s a generation spanning love story)
